TFG Wealth Management

Mark Fried, Philly’s Financial Expert, is best known for his ability to “make sense” of finance and clarify the “big financial picture” for his clients and community in easy-to-understand terms. Over the course of his twenty-plus-year career, Fried has been part of the ever-changing financial services industry and has now made it his mission to educate area residents on the external influences that can have a significant impact on a personal financial strategy. Fried opened the doors to his independent financial advisory firm, TFG Wealth Management in 2005 in an effort to help others deal with the uncertainties that can come in life and with retirement. He built his firm on three core values: control, security and freedom, all of which he strives to provide each of his clients.

In addition to having more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Fried is an Investment Advisor Representative and is licensed in life and health insurance. He has also earned and continues to maintain the prestigious CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR™ designation from the College of Financial Planning. This designation confirms his expanded knowledge of pre-retirement and post-retirement planning strategies including topics relating to retirement income planning, employer-sponsored retirement plans, tax planning, estate planning, asset management and more. Fried has also committed himself to the advanced study of IRA planning strategies through the Ed Slott Elite IRA Advisory Group™ led by nationally acclaimed IRA expert Ed Slott. He is also a guest contributor and expert with the organization. Fried also has a special interest for veterans’ affairs and has become an Accredited Veteran Service Officer of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VSO). Through this accreditation, Fried assists the veterans of Pennsylvania and their families with the qualification and application process for government financial assistance programs. Continuing his mission to educate area residents, he is also certified to teach continue law education (CLE) courses for attorneys through the Bucks County Bar Association.

As a financial educator, Fried regularly lectures on senior and eldercare issues at assisted living facilities and nursing homes in the greater Philadelphia area. He also holds regular educational seminars for pre-retirees and retirees on timely wealth management issues. Fried’s community involvement includes serving as the Vice Chairman of the Lower Makefield Planning Commission. He recently participated in a 100-mile charity bike ride with all proceeds going to the LIVEStrong Foundation and its global fight against cancer. As a result of his charitable work and professional excellence, Fried was named “Man of the Year” in 2009 by the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs.  He is also a member of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to founding TFG Wealth Management Fried served in a number of diverse roles, most notably as the Director of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Authority. Additionally, he was Vice President in the Investment Advisory Department of W.H. Newbold and Son, President of Stone Bridge Trust Company, Executive Vice President of Stone Bridge Mutual Funds, a private investment manager with an investment group that advised a fortune 400 family, and former owner of a benefits, 401(k) and human resources company which assisted hundreds of small business owners on the east coast with their company benefits and 401(k) programs.

Mark holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. He has been married to his wife for nearly twenty years, and together they have two children. In his free time, Mark enjoys cycling, golf and traveling.
